Another ESPN deal thread

Sorry to make another one of these, but I feel like this is sort of a separate subject and I wanted some opinions:
I've never been a fan of ESPN, but I feel like we could be the beneficiary of their BS, since they'll be airing some of our games now. Maybe I'm just being optimistic, but I see them sort of hyping up ECU and our home atmosphere because we are an obvious choice with all our sellouts and the midfield logo. Just all of it (look at our competition). Cinci is solid, but they have lost momentum as a product from realignment. I saw someone on espn.com post this, and I agreed: They will hype us up as if we're worth watching, until we actually are worth watching. They've done this with VT for example. They always have one Thursday night game at Lane Stadium on ESPN, and the whole time they just embellish on how raucous the home atmosphere is. This could be us.
Thoughts?

If we become worthy of ESPN home games I wonder if they will spin a College Game Day here.

I don't see why not. It'd have to be a perfect circumstance, of course. Like ECU-Cinci or ECU-USF, both undefeated. We can dream right....?

No question. I think they know that Dowdy-Ficklen is made for TV. Just gotta deliver on the atmosphere with some wins!

Honestly, I can see them hyping us before we win, and then we start winning due to better recruiting and a better brand in general.

they will pimp a big market team like UCF before they pimp ECU. they promoted the hell out of USF for many years. it almost worked, but instead they fell flat on their faces each year once they got ranked in the top 10.

We can only hope. But ECU hasn't ever gotten national recognition without winning, at least that I can remember. We are not unc.

Who's to say. May be 10 years down the road we can make the BE what it use to be. Gotta keep chopping wood baby...
