Hell yea, 1 more game!! Proud of my pirates today. I saw a lot we still need to work on, but we played hard where we needed to. Fun game to be at.
Heck yeah! A plus compared to last season. Now lets finish strong with a win at Tulane and one on the thundering turd.
now this is just the first step (I hope)
WE GOING BOWLING
Hopefully it can become the norm around here again
Still hoping for UCF to really drop the ball so we can play for the conference title!
Still got a chance at 8 win regular season (and a very outside chance at 10 win overall season). Many goals to be accomplished!
The next game is Ruff & Co.'s biggest, got to get that 7th W & guarantee a winning season...6 bowls in 7 years ain't bad but not to rain on the parade but I am little worried about whoever we play in a bowl will get 3+ weeks to prepare for us! But that's then, this is now, lets get that winning season!
Some bowl projections as of this morning: cfn & bleacher report have us in the armed forces bowl v. air force & another had us in st. Petersburg v. option heavy Ohio. the other I saw I believe was ESPN & was the Hawaii bowl v. Nevada. God help us if its air force or ohio
more practice time for this young team
. = more bowl experience for these coaches.
= more interest from recruits
= more success
= more happiness!

I think the practice time for this team is the best thing that can come from a bowl for us. I dont look forward to watching it though, as i think we will get crushed.
Thats kind of a scary thought.......but with the extra practice BM should be able to figure something out for the option.
And Nevada isnt a bad team either. I hope we go to New Orleans so we can play a Sun Belt team
This will be the 6th time in 7 years I'd say it already is the norm
My Adopt a Pirate Cory Hunter
I'd like to see us in St. Petersburg. Not to far to travel, in a pipeline state, and vs a not to bad opponent in either Ohio or Toledo.
A chance to see how our defense prepares and executes against another option opponent would speak volumes about how good or bad BM really is
I would think that the Beef O Brady's Bowl in St. Petersburg would be an ideal bowl (other than Liberty because UCF would likely go there).
Also, the Heart of Dallas bowl would be great, the Cotton Bowl Stadium has been renovated and is a great place for a game.
I hope that we don't go to New Orleans for the bowl because I am going there for the Tulane game in two weeks.

Take me to St. Pete's if not a conference title.
I'd rather not find out
ECU 4 Life
We gave them one division title by that very scenario in '07. We beat the snot out of them in Greenville and then yacked up a hairball at Rice to lose the division. I think we did the same at Marshall one year too.
Anybody watch Toledo this week and Ohio last night? I think both teams are very beatable. Ohio is not Navy. Although they do run a fast tempo Pistol/Option hybrid. And they use a lot of play action similar to what ECU does. I think their run game matches up well with our front seven. Tettleton, although speedy, didn't do well under pressure. Toledo has a speedy mobile QB that is more worrisome. Both team's defense looked solid but neither defense looked particularly dominant. Ohio's special teams play was poor. Thoughts?
Is that who we'd play in St Pete, a MAC team?

I think that is what ESPN is projecting. But I hope we have other options.
